Ade Akande, MD, MBA
Dr. Akande graduated from university of Benin Medical in Nigeria; He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Columbia University in New York City. His Anesthesiology and Pain Management residency and fellowship was completed at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (a Harvard University Hospital) in 1996; with additional International Pain Management fellowship at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Since 1997, he has practiced pain medicine in the Charlotte, NC market previously with Charlotte Pain Associates prior to opening Gestalt Pain in 2019. He embraces the strategy and individualized pain care dedicating his practice to the multidisciplinary approach to pain management using appropriate interventional techniques, judicious medication management and the benefit of ancillary physical and adjunctive therapies. He is dedicated to functional restoration and improvement as a goal, in the Therapeutic decision alothroithum that he uses.
